Greetings,
Welcome to my website where you will learn more about my journey to Rwanda during the Summer 2011. I will be in Rwanda from the end of May to mid August as a seminarian student intern from Princeton Theological Seminary. I am thankful to Princeton Theological Seminary and the Office of Field Education for this opportunity and I pray that God will use and equip me to be a beacon of love, service, and hope. I will be engaged in ministry with a non profit Christian-based organization called "Association Mwana Ukundwa (AMU)" translated as "Beloved Child Association" created in 1995 by Mrs. Munkankaka Rose who was a survivor of the 1994 war and genocide. As a promise to God for protecting her and her family, Mrs. Rose started AMU to help the many orphans of the war and genocide. AMU later expanded its efforts to educational outreach for children, adult vocational education/training, micro enterprise entrepreneurship training, pastoral outreach, and services for families affected by HIV and AIDS. My internship will be focused on working directly with AMU and a coalition of churches, schools, and NGO's serving women and children affected by HIV and AIDS. For More Info click: http://www.amurwanda.org/ I am so thankful to all of the people, churches, ministries, community organizations, and businesses who have donated funds for Association Mwana Ukundwa and helped us surpass our fundraising goal one week ahead of schedule :) Please keep me and the people of Rwanda in your prayers as I go and serve for God's Glory. Peace, Love, and Blessings, Angie |
