Hello Everyone,
First, thank you for all your prayers, encouragement, and donations.
Today I received the last of a four-part series of shots (four visits in total.) All of these shots, along with the malaria pill, are required for my journey to Rwanda. The weekly malaria pill dosage is certainly not fun (I am feeling a little under for sure) but God's grace is sufficient. Not feeling very well, with everything to be done, has made online shopping a blessing!
This week I purchased MANY supply and gift items for the young people and adults I will be serving. The Oriental Trading Company website www.orientaltrading.com had a lot of good deals and so did Christian Book Distributors www.christianbook.com
So far I have purchased pencils (plain and colored), pencil sharpeners, erasers, bookmarks with scripture, keychains, rubber bracelets with religious sayings, cross necklaces, and PLENTY of multi media art supplies - kona cotton fabric squares (courtesy of Quilter Mrs. Cephas http://quiltsbycc.com/default.aspx), glue dots, tissue paper, mini pom pom balls, fabric markers, fabric paint, self-adhesive foam animals, butterflies, and flowers. I still have a few more things to get, including small bags, and I plan to assemble the gift sets next week. Also, several donors pitched in together and purchased hundreds of sample lotion sets from "Be Fabulous You" http://www.marykay.com/fabulous/default.aspx as gifts for the women I will be working with - thank you ladies :) Special thank you again to Mrs. Yvonne Bryant - Love Force HIV/AIDS Ministry and the Grant Chapel AME Church family's contributions and everyone's contributions :)
Ok - off I go to get some rest and then back to my paper.
Peace, Love, and Blessings :)
Angie
